Mørenot Aquaculture is looking for forward-thinking students to challenge us on the established truths in the company!
Few Norwegian industries have grown more than the seafood industry the last 15 years. Since 2011, the industry’s value creation has grown 110%, with a total of 120 billion Norwegian kroners in value creation in 2021 (Menon-Publication, NR. 126/2022). The industry is characterized by rapid technology development, an increasing focus on sustainability, but for technology providers the last few years have also been characterized by increased competition and sinking margins.
Mørenot Aquaculture is eager to take a leading part in the future development of the industry and realize that to do so we need to look at our business from a new perspective.
This is where
YOU
come in!
We are putting together a team of students from various backgrounds (aquaculture, business development, finance, data science, industrial economy and technology management etc.) who will drill through our company for a few months: work together with our experts, talk to customers, and actively seek alternative thinking to develop tomorrow's solutions within the aquaculture industry.
But most importantly, you will all collaborate, learn from each other, and in doing so help us shape the future of Mørenot Aquaculture.
The project will take place in two phases:
1 Summer internship in Mørenot Aquaculture
Two-three months full-time employee in Mørenot (May - August 2023) . As a result of this phase, you are left with a research question to further explore though your thesis.
2 Bachelor/ Master thesis
You are writing a bachelor's/master's thesis on a problem that you are passionate about and which is also useful for Mørenot Aquaculture.
Only interested in one of the phases? Apply either way, and we will get in touch with you.
It would be perfect if you...
• ... are forward thinking, like to think outside the box, and always look for new and better ways of working
• ... have a good ability to collaborate and enjoy working in a team.
• ... want to write a bachelor's/master's thesis related to one of the many exciting issues the aquaculture industry can offer - whether that's from a business perspective, data science perspective, or aquaculture perspective.
We can offer:
• An unique opportunity to get to know the aquaculture industry
• Relevant work experience in a creative and exciting position
• A key role in a project of strategic importance in an international company
The internship will take place in Ålesund or Haugesund. The summer student program lasts 6 - 8 weeks, by further agreement with the relevant candidates, and ends with an internal presentation of the results in August.
